*Gallatin High School Homecoming Princess Pageant sponsored by GHS cheerleaders at GHS Theater, 700 Dan P. Herron Dr., Gallatin. Registration - 9:30 a.m. (1st pageant begins at 10 a.m.) Cost - $25 per contestant. $5 fee for all spectators. Groupings: K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8. *Union High Alumni, Friday Night Fish Fry (9/1), Clearview Park Gallatin, TN

Starting at 5 p.m. - $35.00 for all events. (9/2) at the Epic Event Center. Gather around with Union High Alumni and Friends. *About Book club meeting from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. at the UT Extension Office in Gallatin. Selected book of the month is "Mrs. Mike," by Frederick Backman. * The 6th Annual Gallatin Lions Club Gran Fondo Bike Ride will take place on beginning on the Public Square in Gallatin. For information, contact any member of the Lions Club or watch the Gallatin News for more information in the following weeks.

**The Sumner County Democratic Party will host a summer picnic and fundraiser at 1 p.m. at the pavilion in Triple Creek Park in Gallatin. Tickets are $10.00 and available online and at the gate. Kids are free. Drinks, hamburgers and hotdogs are provided. Guests may bring a side dish or dessert if they wish. There will be live music, fun and games. Special guests will include State Representative John Ray Clemmons and State Senate candidate, Wade Munday. Exclusive holiday merchandise will be available for purchase. *The Gallatin High School Class of 1987 class reunion will coincide with homecoming. The reunion will be at the Hampton Inn Saturday at 6 p.m. A live band will perform and dinner catered by the Top Hog. $25 per person until August 15th. After that date up to reunion, $30 per person. *A new Civitan club is forming here in Sumner County. Tennessee Club organizers invite community residents to attend organizational meetings to be held at the Hendersonville Public Library. The club will meet each week on Thursday at 6:30 and after that to be determined by members twice a month. Civitan is a worldwide organization of community service clubs. Members enjoy personal and professional development opportunities while helping others. Civitan's major emphasis is helping people with developmental disabilities. Civitan funds the Civitan International Research Center in Birmingham Alabama that is a research and treatment facility for developmental disabilities. *Lambuth Memorial United Methodist Church will be hosting an Alzeheimer's support group the first Tuesday of each month from 7-9 p.m. The address is 1042 Hartsville Pike, Gallatin. There is no fee, and no reservations required; (615) 452-3715.

*The Church of Our Saviour invites everyone to visit their Little Free Library, a smaller version of the church itself installed in the churchyard. Inside are books for all ages, free for the taking, as well as space for people to leave books which they have read and would like to pass on. The church is located at 704 Hartsville Pike.

*Dry Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church welcomes you to join us for our 135th celebration. We are having special services each Sunday. Aug. 6 starts off with a visit from St. Louis' first family of gospel music, the Lester's. Barbeque and fixings will be served after the service. Aug.13 is senior day. Dry Fork is inviting every senior who is not regularly attending church to visit. Aug. 20 is visitor's day. Aug. 27 wraps up our month of 135 years of celebrating our Lord. All services are held at 11a.m. Dry Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church is located at 1050 Dry Fork Road, Bethpage.
