Green Wave take down the Eagles on the links

The Gallatin Green Wave golf team picked up a win over Westmoreland on the links last week, defeating the Eagles by two strokes.

The boys' club moved its record to 3-0 on the young season with a 167-168 victory.

The boys were led by Jacob Alexander (39) and Laik Martin (41) on their way to a 167 score. Other Green Wave boys scores included Ethan Smith (42) and Daniel Gornicki (45). Green Wave golfer Brady Sandel rounded out his day with a 55.

The ladies picked up a team win over the Eagles after Westmoreland failed to field enough girls to compete. Leading the charge for the Wave was freshman Abigail Gornicki with a score of 40. Kayli Lucas rounded out the 85-score, shooting a 45 through nine holes.

Mary Allison Ladd finished her day with a 48.
