CLARKSVILLE -- The first quarter of last Tuesday evening's Station Camp-Rossview game belonged to one player: Station Camp senior Yalen Reed. Reed scored 15 of the Station Camp's first 17 points and the Bison did not look back. Station Camp (4-0) rolled to an 83-61 road win over Rossview (3-1).
CLARKSVILLE -- Poor shooting and numerous turnovers led to the demise of the Station Camp Lady Bison last Tuesday evening against Rossview. The Lady Bison (1-3) were nearly held scoreless in the first quarter thanks to several miscues and missed shots. The Hawks (4-0) finished on top, taking a 47-35 win to stay unbeaten.
Thanks to the efforts of several Pope John Paul II High School seniors, nearly 100 less fortunate will have a warm coat this winter.
For the past several weeks, Ben Brooks, Pace Dempsey, Matt Craven and Creighton Couch have led a winter-coat drive at JPII. Nearly 100 coats have been donated since the program began.
GALLATIN -- Gallatin High School played host to a day's worth of Hall of Champions games on Saturday. The Green Wave boys tipped off at 9:30 a.m. against the Springfield Yellow Jackets. Gallatin ended the night with a contest against the Vikings of Northwest.
