One killed in Gallatin house fire Friday

One person was killed in a house fire on East Eastland Avenue early Friday.

A Gallatin woman was killed during an early morning house fire Friday, according to Gallatin Fire Department officials.

Fire crews responded to a home in the 300 block of East Eastland Avenue around 2 a.m., according to Assistant Chief of Administration Robert Richie. The homeowner, whose name has not been released, was found dead inside.

No one else was inside of the building at the time of the fire, Richie added. A cause is still under investigation.

No other details have been released.
