Gallatin's continued growth and what is being done to address its challenges will be among some of the issues highlighted when Mayor Paige Brown delivers her third State of the City address later this month.
The presentation will be delivered during the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce's monthly membership luncheon on Monday, Oct. 16. The event, which begins at 11:30 a.m., will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 149 W. Main St.
"This year is going to be a lot about the growth in the area, helping people understand the direction the city is trying to take to address that and the challenges that we're faced with... which are largely going to be infrastructure improvements," Brown said about the contents of the address.
"There is also going to be a lot of celebration of so many of the good things that have happened in Gallatin in the last year."
Reservations for the event are required and can be made by calling the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce at (615) 452-4000. The cost for members is $18 by noon on Oct. 13 and $20 after the deadline. The cost for non-members is $25.
