Gallatin High School has hired new coaches to lead its girls basketball and softball programs.

Jerry Landers will be the new coach of the Lady Wave basketball team. Landers, who was an assistant for the team the last four seasons, replaces Malcolm Montgomery, who resigned as head coach after compiling a 13-39 record over two seasons.

Landers has also been Gallatin's head volleyball coach the last four years. Before coming to Gallatin, he coached girls basketball at St. Cecilia Academy, Pleasant View Christian and Pioneer Christian Academy.

Greta Parker will be an assistant girls basketball coach and teach physical education at Gallatin. Parker has served as head girls basketball coach at Rucker Stewart Middle School the past two years.

Mike Raper is the school's new head softball coach. Raper has been as assistant softball coach at Hendersonville High School the past seven seasons. He replaces Randall Silcox who was the team's coach the past three years. Raper, who will teach in the Gallatin High School Special Education Department, will also be the freshman football coach for the Green Wave. He held that same position at Hendersonville for the past five seasons.
