A customized management and financial service provider has opened a new call center in Gallatin that company officials say will bring approximately 100 new jobs to the city this year.
Central Research Inc. (CRI) opened the call center at 400 N. Belvedere Dr. on July 29 to accommodate the continued growth of its federal student loan contract with the United States Department of Education, according to a news release from the company last week.
Services offered by the company to clients in the federal, state and commercial sectors include records and document management, call center and debt collection.
“We’re excited to open our third call center in Gallatin,” CRI President and CEO Scott Dillard said in a prepared statement. “The city’s support and enthusiasm, along with the excellent talent pool, makes it a great location to expand our Department of Education contract operations.”
The new Gallatin facility is expected to be fully staffed by early November and represents the company’s first expansion into Tennessee. CRI’s other two call centers are located in Arkansas and also service its contract with the Department of Education.
“As we continue to diversify our employment opportunities in Gallatin, we are appreciative that CRI has chosen to locate here,” Gallatin Economic Development Agency Executive Director James Fenton said in a prepared statement. “We welcome them as a new business partner in Gallatin and look forward to helping them grow.”
