The 36th annual Main Street Festival, held in downtown Gallatin last Saturday drew over 30,000 visitors who were treated to a day of food, music, shopping and fun.
The venue encompassed all of downtown Gallatin and featured over 200 booths that offered arts, crafts and merchandise for sale by local artisans and merchants.
There was no shortage of food and drinks available with over a dozen food vendors set up in the City Hall parking lot and at other locations.
A large children’s play area was located near the food court that featured several large inflatable play houses. Other children’s activities included face painting and a variety of games.
Throughout the day, a variety of singers and musicians performed on two stages that were spread out across the festival. Musical offerings included rock, country and gospel favorites that kept the atmosphere lively.
Several vendors put on demonstrations throughout the afternoon, including the Ernie Reyes School of Martial Arts and the Centerstage Performing Arts Academy.
