*Hope Springs International is proud to present Grammy award winner and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, Ricky Skaggs, in concert at 6 p.m. The concert will be held at Northfield Church, 2100 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066. Hope Springs is a non-profit organization supporting clean water wells, education and sustainable skill development in rural Africa. Night of Hope will be the organization’s first annual benefit concert. All proceeds will go directly towards continued efforts in Africa.

*The Sumner County UT Extension Office is offering a NEW class for the holidays - “Season’s Eatings with Diabetes.” The most wonderful time of the year can be a difficult time of year for those managing Type 2 diabetes. This FREE program offers diabetes management tips for staying healthy during the holidays and a recipe makeover and sampling of a favorite holiday treat! *Christmas Open House at Historic Wynnewood from 1-4 p.m. for tours, refreshments, and a bake sale by the Quester's Group. There will also be a book signing for Christmas at Wynnewood. The first edition of the book will be available for $12. Also visit the Rogan Cottage at Bledsoe’s Fort Historical Park where there will be period-dressed docents, a warm fire, and refreshments. *Sumner Trails chapter of Tennessee Trails will lead a 2.4-mile hike in Bledsoe Creek State Park rated Easy to Moderate. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Visitors Center/Park Office, 400 Ziegler Fort in Gallatin. We will do the High Ridge and Shoreline Trails Loop. Trail surface includes gravel, dirt, rocks and steep stairs. *Sumner Trails Chapter of Tennessee Trails will lead a 3-mile Winter Solstice hike on the White House Greenway. The Trail is paved and mostly level starting from the Tyree Springs trailhead at White House High School and following Honey Run Creek to the Veterans Memorial trailhead. Meet for carpooling at the Kroger parking lot at Glenbrook Shopping Center, 1010 Glenbrook Way in Hendersonville at 10 a.m. or at White House High School parking area at 10:30. *Sumner Trails Chapter of Tennessee Trails will lead a 3-mile Holiday Tromp on the Hendersonville Greenway system, starting on Stop 30 Road, connecting with the Hendersonville Greenway, then connecting with the Drakes Creek Greenway and ending up at the ball fields at Drakes Creek park. Meet at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 650 East Main Street in Hendersonville at 10 a.m. We will leave a car at the end of the Tromp to take the drivers back to St. Tim's.
