Gallatin celebrated the annual lighting of the city’s Christmas tree downtown Monday with artificial snow and a visit from Santa.
The program took place Dec. 2 and featured musical performances by students from Union Elementary S.T.E.M. and Demonstration School, Station Camp Elementary and Gallatin High School.
Following the tree lighting, Gallatin’s annual Tuba Christmas concert featuring the Tennessee Tech Tuba Ensemble and local tuba players was held at First Baptist Church on East Main Street.
This year marks the 11th anniversary of the event being held in Gallatin and the 46th anniversary for Tuba Christmas concerts worldwide.
