Speaker Pro Tempore Ferrell Haile (R-Gallatin) has earned the highest rating in the Senate from the Club for Growth Foundation for supporting pro-growth economic policies in Tennessee.
The organization recently released their scorecard as part of their efforts to educate the public about the value of free markets, pro-growth policies, and economic prosperity.
The Foundation’s study examined over 4,600 floor votes with 14 key votes identified in ranking the state’s 132 lawmakers for the first session of the 111th General Assembly.
“Though the release of this series, the Club for Growth Foundation is looking at how state legislatures perform in terms of pro-growth policies,” said David McIntosh, Club for Growth Foundation President in promoting the organization’s ratings. “We believe that this scorecard will help inform citizens and entrepreneurs about who supports polices that are good for economic prosperity.”
“I appreciate this recognition and am proud stand for lower taxes, limited government and cutting back onerous regulations that stifle our businesses and keep them innovating and reinvesting into the economy,” said Haile.
Senator Haile represents Sumner and Trousdale Counties and portions of Davidson County in Senate District 18.
