Gwenneth "Red" Sebring was born on Oct. 3, 1929 in Sears, Mich. to Herbert and Metha. He grew up with four brothers - Volney, Edsel, Fay and Larry and one sister, Donna Shirley.
Red graduated from Evart High School in Evart, Mich. in 1948. In 1947 he was on the basketball team of the Michigan State Runner-Up. He served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1952.
Red then attended Spring Arbor College in Spring Arbor, Michigan from 1955 to 1957 where he received his pastorate degree and also met Wilma Jean Graves, the love of his life. They were married for 61 years.
He continued his education in ministry at Greenville College in Illinois and at Treveca Nazarene College in Nashville, where he graduated in 1963. His first church as a minister was in 1959. Red has been a minister in many churches over his lifetime from Michigan to Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee since 1959.
He and his wife have two daughters - Debbie and Becky; four sons - Dan, Tim, Steve and David; 17 grandkids and eight great-grandchildren.
He is very active and enjoys watching his grandkids and great-grandkids play sports.
Red enjoys watching his favorite team University of Michigan Wolverines. He has been a high school sports radio broadcaster, played multiple sports, was a sports official/umpire and a coach of youth sports.
The most important decision Red ever made was asking Jesus into his heart on Feb. 11, 1954. He has an amazing love for God, his family and winning people to the Lord.
Red is well loved by so many friends and family and we hope he had the best birthday ever!
