The Knights of Columbus will host their 32nd annual BRASS bike ride across Sumner County. Three rides, the 25K, 50K and 100K, will be offered and are intended for all levels of riders ranging from beginner to avid cyclist. The event will take place on Aug. 7.
All rides will start and finish at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Hendersonville. The 25K will ride to Upper Station Camp Road and back. The 50k and 100k will loop through Cottontown, with the 100k taking a longer loop to Hall Town and proceeding back to the church.
Pre-registration for the event can be found at www.active.com or day of registration will be available from 6:15 a.m.-6:45 a.m. Until July 31, entry prices are $30 a person and $60 a family (limit of three family members). Entry fee will increase to $40 per person and $80 per family immediately following.
Race day fees will be $40 dollars a person or $80 per family (limit of three family members). All pre-registered riders are guaranteed a t-shirt. T-shirts on race day will be as supply lasts for non- preregistered. The 100k and 50k will begin at 7 a.m. and the 25k will begin at 7:05 a.m.
BRASS benefits several groups and foundations such as Sumner Special Housing, Special Olympics, Coats for Kids and the Cumberland Pregnancy Center.
