Morningside of Gallatin will be hosting their 9th annual Fall Dessert Fest & Silent Auction on Friday, Oct. 11 from 1-3 pm. All proceeds will benefit the Sumner County Food Bank.
Last year's event raised over $2,300. Many fall- themed desserts will be available for tasting with a $5 minimum donation including bourbon balls, poppy seed cake and plenty of pumpkin delicacies.
The silent auction features items donated from local businesses including gift baskets, hand-made items, fall decor, local-themed gifts, dessert and baking sets, artwork and many other fun items.
Executive Director Stephanie Harville said, "This might be our biggest and best silent auction yet. There is literally something for everyone and a great opportunity to get a jump on Christmas shopping. The desserts are guaranteed to be delicious too.
“At this time of the year, the Sumner County Food Bank has a great need as the holidays are approaching. What better time to support the food bank?" For more information about this event or to donate, contact Morningside at 615-230-5600. Morningside is located at 1085 Hartsville Pike in Gallatin.
