The Gallatin Parks and Recreation department had their annual Pumpkin Splash at the Gallatin Civic Center Oct. 27. This annual event gives kids in grades K through 5th a “different” approach to trick or treating. Pumpkins are gathered and tossed in the water and float. Kids get in the water and at the ready signal, go searching the water for their own pumpkin to save and decorate as they wish, right beside the pool. Rogers Market donated the pumpkins for the event.
