Pvt. Aniele Lopez-Crispin, a Station Camp High School senior, recently enlisted in the Tennessee Army National Guard as an infantryman.
Lopez-Crispin was born and raised in Puerto Rico before moving to Tennessee in 2020 and has always had an interest in pursuing a career within the Army.
“I joined the National Guard because, since I can remember, I liked the Army and because I enjoy helping people,” said Lopez-Crispin. “Thanks to the benefits in the National Guard, I have the opportunity to attend college for study.”
Lopez-Crispin will attend Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Ga. in July 2022, where he will become a soldier through 10 weeks of training that will test him mentally and physically. After completing Basic Combat Training, he will learn his military occupational skill as an infantryman by training in skills ranging from squad tactics to weapons operations and close-quarters combat.
“Pvt. Lopez-Crispin is a very hard-working, motivated young man that will be a great Soldier within our organization,” said Jeremiah Borrajo, Tennessee Army National Guard Recruiter. “I look forward to seeing him continue to develop and where the future takes him.”
