Trail to be restored at Bledsoe Creek State Park

Friends of Bledsoe Creek State Park and REI Brentwood will be partnering with a $5,000 Community Investment Grant from REI to restore the High Ridge Trail at Bledsoe Creek State Park.

Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI) donates millions of dollars to support conservation efforts nationwide and sends dedicated teams of volunteers – members, customers and REI employees – to build trails, clean up beaches, restore local habitats, and more.

Friends of Bledsoe Creek State Park is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to protect the park’s forest, wildlife, wetlands, and history. We strive to educate the community about the natural beauty and resources while enhancing the quality of the outdoor experience for park visitors.

After many years of heavy usage and erosion, the High Ridge Trail is in need of major repairs. Current plans are to improve drainage, reroute portions of the trail, repair the stone steps, add trail markers, and much more. The goal of Bledsoe Creek State Park and REI will be to make the trail passable by all foot traffic, especially hikers and trail runners.

We invite you to join us in thanking REI for the grant awarded to the Friends of Bledsoe Creek State Park for this major project.
