Children Are People names new executive director

Children Are People, Inc. (CAP) has hired Susan Superczynski as executive director of the organization.

Superczynski, known by most at Ms. Super, brings 14 years of experience with CAP into the leadership role. She holds a B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Memphis and is pursuing a M.S. in Strategic Communications and Leadership at Belmont University.

Initially hired by the organization in 2007 as the part-time administrative assistant to founder and Executive Director Fred Bailey, Superczynski has served as the director of operations and most recently as the interim executivdDirector. She founded the CAP Angels program in 2009, has served as the organization’s grant writer, and co-chaired the organization’s fundraisers.

William Myers, chairman of the CAP board of directors said, “We’re very excited to have Susan officially step into the executive director role. She has a long, proven record of accomplishment at CAP and the board knows that she will continue to grow the organization to serve the youth in our community.”

Nyadow Chol, a CAP graduate and currently a third-year medical student stated, “Ms. Super’s diligence, empathy and care for her students for all these years are what make her the perfect fit for the position. We love you so much Ms. Super and thank you for all you do for the CAP students and their families.”
