A suspected Gallatin drug dealer was arrested after his home was raided by the 18th Judicial Drug Task Force last week.
Investigators executed a search warrant May 16 at a residence in the 200-block of Bonita Avenue belonging to 39-year-old Christopher Michael Spencer, according to an arrest affidavit.
During a search of the home, which is located within 1,000 feet of Guild Elementary School, law enforcement agents found approximately three pounds of marijuana in a bedroom closet.
“In the same bedroom, investigators also located several zip lock bags, boxes of vacuum sealed bags, scales and a vacuum sealer machine,” according to the affidavit. “Due to the above-mentioned amount of marijuana that was found with the said paraphernalia, probable cause exists to believe that Spencer is selling marijuana.”
Spencer was arrested and charged with one count of possession of a Schedule VI drug in a drug-free zone and one count of possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia, according to court records. He was booked into the Sumner County Jail on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Sumner County General Sessions Courts on June 19.
