The body of a Gallatin man was recovered from Town Creek on Dec. 29.
Dwight Law, Jr., is believed to have drowned after attempting to cross the rapid, flooded waters of the creek on the night of Dec. 29, according to a media release from the Gallatin Police Department. Police were called to the area of the greenway on East Broadway Street on Dec. 30 after someone reported finding a body in the creek.
The state Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the certain cause of death, according to police. Anyone with any information regarding the investigation is urged to contact the Gallatin Police Department at 615-452-1313.
