Gallatin police are searching for two suspects they say robbed a local pharmacy at gunpoint and shot an employee Wednesday night.

The robbery occurred at Airville Pharmacy, located at 1785 Airport Rd. near State Route 109, at approximately 10:30 p.m., according to Lt. Lamar Ballard with the Gallatin Police Department.

“They entered in the back as the (pharmacist) was leaving,” Ballard said. “As he was exiting the door, they pushed themselves in on him and they were armed.”

The victim was grazed by a bullet during the robbery, according to police. The injury was described as non-life threatening.

The suspects, both described as black males, stole narcotics from the pharmacy before fleeing the area.

Anyone with information about the armed robbery, including the identity of the suspects, is asked to contact the Gallatin Police Department at (615) 452-1313.
