United Way announces $631,382 in allocations

 

United Way of Sumner County has postponed its Sept. 22 Fall Classic Charity Golf Scramble. The new event date is May 18, 2021 at the Links Course of Tennessee Grasslands in Gallatin.

“This decision is being made in order to best serve our event sponsors and participants, and more importantly, to ensure this event generates the best positive impact possible for our community,” said UWSC Executive Director Steve Doremus. “Thank you to everyone who has supported our scramble through these uncertain times, and we look forward to continuing our relationships and adding many new partners as we take steps to alleviate the concerns expressed about our fall date.

“We look forward to seeing everyone on the course as we tee up to create positive change in Sumner County on May 18.”

Sponsorships remain available for the new date. Registration will remain open at unitedwaysumner.org.

Proceeds raised at the annual event benefit agencies and programs funded by United Way of Sumner County. These agencies meet more than 40,000 needs in the community each year.
