Gallatin police are searching for a woman accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of items from a self-storage facility last month.
In all, police say four units were burglarized Sept. 12. at Red Dot Storage on Airport Road.
“A white male and a white female (were) observed on surveillance footage cutting various locks throughout the facility and making entry into multiple storage units,” according to Sumner County court documents.
Among the items reported stolen were clothing, jewelry, musical instruments and electronics. The total combined value of everything taken was estimated at $4,300.
Investigators were later able to identify the female suspect as being Cayla Ann Schneider, 34, of Murfreesboro. She has been charged with four counts of burglary, three counts of theft up to $1,000 and one count of theft between $1,000 and $2,500.
According to police, she was last seen driving a dark blue 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe with a maroon hatch and Tennessee license plate 7N42V3.
