Annie Wood McLerran, age 94, of Tompkinsville, KY and formerly of the Winklers Community in Macon County, TN passed away Wednesday evening, November 18, 2020 at the Signature HealthCare of Monroe County Rehab & Wellness Center in Tompkinsville, KY.
Funeral Services for Annie Wood McLerran were conducted Saturday morning, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Gary Wilder officiating. Interment followed in the Bailey Cemetery in Tompkinsville, KY. Her pallbearers were Adam McLerran, Matthew Sutton, Jason Lynn, Jeremy Yokley, Roger Bean, Dinky Morgan, Ronnie Morgan and David Burton.
Annie Wood McLerran was born April 10, 1926 in Monroe County, Kentucky, one of three siblings born to the late Marion And Ella Mae Johnson Wood. On April 27, 1946, she married Bedford Opal McLerran who preceded her in death on December 23, 2006. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Ralph McLerran and brothers, Robert “Bob” Wood & Raymond Wood. Annie worked as a machine operator in the Garment industry until her retirement and was a member of the Hermitage Springs Church of Christ.
She is survived by: daughter & son-in-law, Rita & Harold Hewitt; sons & daughters-in-law, Dudley & Arlene McLerran, Kenneth McLerran, Nolan & Anita McLerran, Junior “Chuck” McLerran all of Red Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Adam McLerran, Donna Loyd, Julie Goodman, Matt Sutton, Kim Sutton Goad, Bryan McLerran & Linda Lynn; great-grandchildren, Bryce Babcock, Landon Loyd, Logan Loyd, Emma Brown, Grayson Goad, Karstein McLerran, Emberly McLerran, Jason Lynn; niece, Candi (Benny) Tuck.
