Beverly “Grandma B” Gann

Beverly “Grandma B” Gann, age 72 of Gallatin, passed away March 16, 2018.  

Mrs. Gann was born May 15, 1945, daughter of the late Herbert Shaw Saunders and Mary Louise Moody Saunders.  

She is survived by her husband Harold G. Gann of Gallatin; sons, Harold Shaw Gann (Leslie) and Jonathan David Gann (Megan) both of Gallatin; daughters, Lori Gann-Smith (David) of Georgia and Stacey Schofill (Chris) of Montana; brother Bill Saunders (Sue) of White House; grandchildren, Shawna Gann, Lane and Blake Rogers, Tyler Schofill, Zoe and Drew Smith, Carly McGaha and Britton McCuan. Great grandchildren, Hayden, Harper, Matthew, and Addison Jane Rogers, Ayden Schofill.

 

Beverly was a busy “sew-n-sew” who enjoyed all types of crafts and needle arts. She was a prolific maker of clothing, toys and quilts and in the recent past designed and helped make costumes for the Hendersonville Performing Arts Company. She was a wonderful cook and liked preparing meals for her family as well as her catering clients.  She was as comfortable providing meals at church kitchens as well as on mission trips.

 

She and husband Harold loved to travel and took many trips to Montana to visit family and explore the western states. She especially loved to be in the nearby Smoky Mountains where she and her family took many vacations.

 

Beverly will always be remembered for her compassion, good friendship, sense of humor and love for the Lord. Even in ill health in recent times she supported and sewed for The Veranda in Gallatin.

 

Visitation for Mrs. Gann will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Nashville Pike in Gallatin.

 

A Celebration of Life service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Mike Corbin, Pastor Steve Hurst and Pastor Paul Smith officiating.  Pallbearers will be Shaw and Jonathan Gann , Blake and Lane Rogers, Tyler Schofill and David Smith. A private, family graveside service for the family will follow.
