Mildred Frances Ray Harley

Mildred Frances Ray Harley, was born in Nashville, TN on May 17, 1927 and passed away on Jan. 6, 2019.  

She was raised in Old Hickory and graduated from DuPont High School. After getting married, she moved to Gallatin, TN where she retired from Eaton Corp. In her later years, she moved to Franklin, TN to be near her daughter and son-in-law. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening and travel.

She is preceded in death by her parents John B. and Darda Savage Ray; husband, James Homer Harley; children, Jennifer Harley and Aubrey Lee Harley, sister, Joyce Lee.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Tim) Hestle; grandsons, Harley (Jennifer) Brown and Troy (Cindy) Hestle; great-granddaughters, Aria and Eden Hestle; sister, Betty (Winton) Chaffin and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held at Family Heritage Funeral Home in Gallatin, TN at 11 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 9, 2019, with Bro. Doyle Farris and John Chaffin officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 8, 2019 and one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Park. Harley Brown, John Chaffin, Larry Coffee, Chris Coffee, Steve Lee, and Tom Hestle will serve as pallbearers.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the caregivers at NHC Franklin and Morning Pointe of Franklin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heritage Church of Christ building fund, Franklin, TN.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
