Ralph Cassetty, 82, of the Russell Hill Community in Macon County, TN passed away Tuesday morning, October 8, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral Services for Ralph Cassetty were conducted Thursday afternoon, October 10, 2019 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Hugh Wayne Clark officiating. Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark McCarter, Jimmy Spivey, Ira D. Meador, Keith Meador, Tommy Carter and Gary Shrum.
Ralph was born February 24, 1937 in Macon County, Tennessee, the only child of the late Bernest and Merline House Cassetty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Cassetty. On May 10, 1986, he married Patricia McCarter Cassetty, who survives. They shared over 33 years together. He was a supervisor for 34 years at the former Lafayette Manufacturing and was a member of the Drapers Crossroads Church of Christ. Ralph spent his retirement years doing all the things he loved: gardening, working outside and in his shop tinkering on tractors and farm equipment, dipping his cherry Skoal, and slowly perfecting the art of cooking the much-anticipated “Ralph’s Lard-Stand Christmas Ham” (Always Clifty Farm).
Survivors besides his wife, Patricia include: daughter and son-in-law, Miranda and Rocky Rau of Houston, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Katie Cassetty of Nashville, TN; step-son, Kelly McCarter and companion, Alex Coimbre of Waynesville, NC; grandsons, Jackson and Carson Rau of Houston, TX; granddaughters, Caleigh (Josh) Holland and MacKenzie Cassetty all of Lafayette, TN; and mother-in-law, Edna McCarter of Lafayette, TN.
