Thelma Molene Denton Richardson, went to her reward on November 15, 2018.
She was born April 29, 1928 to Vance & Flora Minchey Denton on Bullard’s Creek in Jackson Co., Tenn. Early in life she met her one true love, Jessie “Dick” Richardson, and they married December 23, 1944. He preceded her in death in 2007. Together they had seven children: Brenda McMichael (Gary), Carol Hayes (Paul), Jesse Richardson (Loli), Roger Richardson (Sandra), Jan Musgrove (Scott), Mike Richardson (Debbie), and Phil Richardson. The family grew to include 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was known by many as Memaw and gained the adoration of generations of families even beyond her own. She was a treasured aunt, sister-in-law, cousin, and sister in Christ, attending Zion Chapel Assembly of God and formerly Calvary Assembly of God. Though she worked various jobs in her life, she had a natural talent for raising a family and cooking. Her family was her proudest accomplishment and she leaves a legacy of love, faith, and charity in the people whose lives she touched. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Carol, granddaughter Amanda McMichael, and two brothers, Willard & Ira C. Denton. Visitation was Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sunday November 18, 2018 12 until service time at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, TN.
