Politics can unite or divide. We can have differences of opinion on issues. However, we must learn it is still possible to disagree without being disagreeable. We can focus on the polarization or we can start to build connections in our communities. Sometimes that bridge starts at our kitchen table.

Historically, Americans have had to wrestle with their heritage of moral failures in how they treat their fellow citizens. Unfortunately, we have a legacy of broken families, children deprived of educational pursuits, citizens deprived of equal rights, and lost economic opportunities.
