In 1976, my grandparents moved from their house in Hendersonville to a brand new retirement center just off of Gallatin Road in Madison near Briley Parkway. It was called Chippington Towers and stood about 12 stories tall. They lived on the ninth floor. I have very fond memories of visiting and I stayed with them quite a bit.
Across the street from their home was a Sears, so my grandpa and I would walk over there quite a bit because they had an amazing candy store. On the way, we would pass a home that looked so out of place that I will forever remember it.
