With the Aug. 6 primary election getting closer, it is important that mail in voting ballots be sent back at least one week before the election date.

That means they need to be in the mail by July 30. Please follow the directions as how to fill out and mail back the ballot.

Only the piece of paper where you mark your selection needs to be returned. Also, it takes only one first class stamp on the envelope.

Information as to mail in voting, including being able to track your ballot is on the Sumner County Elections web site: votesumnertn.org. Please do not waste your shot on voting by being too late or not following the directions.
