NOTICE OF SPECIAL CALLED MEETINGS OF THE SUMNER COUNTY EDUCATION AND BUDGET COMMITTEES

Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated Sections 5-5-104 & 105, a Special Called Meeting of the Sumner County Education and Budget Committees is called for Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. (local time) at the Sumner County Administration Building, Room 112, 355 North Belvedere Drive, Gallatin, Tennessee 37066.

The Education Committee shall convene to hear the presentation of the Education budget. Budget Committee members are also asked to be present to hear the presentation of the proposed 2019-2020 Education budget. After the Education Committee completes its review and action on the Education budget, the Budget Committee will be convened to take whatever action it deems necessary.

The purpose of the special called meetings is to discuss, consider and possibly vote on the following:

(1) Any and all items related to the County’s 2019-20 Budgets for the County General, Courthouse and Jail Maintenance, Drug Control, Debt Service, Capital Projects, Highway Budgets, Internal Service, and Board of Education Budgets;

(2) 2019 Certified Tax Rate; and

(3) Direct the Finance director to make publication of the proposed budgets.
