Station Camp Athletic Director Patrick Duffer confirmed with Main Street Preps Tuesday that former West High School (Knoxville) running back Tre'vone Barfield has enrolled at the school.
According to his Hudl, Barfield played in only two games for West last season, posting highlight touchdown runs and elusive moves out of the backfield.
“He is enrolled and in fourth block football,” Duffer said. “We haven’t submitted the necessary paperwork for him to play yet, but it is my understanding he will be academically eligible.”
If Barfield clears TSSAA eligibility concerns, the speedy back will strengthen an already loaded backfield for the Bison.
Heading into the 2022 season, Station Camp features Cooper Green, Cade Abner, Robert Bogus, Sanders Ellis, Mac Pyles and Christian Pentecost — all returning starters from last year’s 8-3 team.
The 6’0, 180-pound Barfield also plays strong safety and will likely wear number 18 for the maroon and silver.
