MONDAY'S QUARTERFINALS - 

NORTH MT. JULIET – With his team down 30-27 headed into the final eight minutes of regulation, Green Hill senior Zack Blair drilled a pair of 3-pointers and added a free throw to help the Hawks to a thrilling 46-45 home win over rival Mt. Juliet in Monday's District 9AAA quarterfinal game.

Coach Troy Allen's team out-scored Mt. Juliet 19-15 in the fourth quarter as senior Riggs Abner chipped in with six of his eight points.

Green Hill led 10-9 after the first quarter and 20-18 at intermission.

The Golden Bears used a 12-7 third quarter run to take a three-point lead headed into the final period.

Mo Ruttlen led Green Hill with 12 points while Blair added 10.

Mt. Juliet's Jacob Burge splashed four 3-pointers to lead all scorers with 23. Josh Keck added 10 for the Bears who saw their season come to an end with a record of 10-18.

With the victory, No. 2 seed Green Hill (14-7) snapped a modest two-game losing streak and earned a Tuesday home game in the semifinals against No. 3 Station Camp (21-6) – a 55-54 winner over No. 6 Gallatin Monday.

NORTH MT. JULIET – Aubrey Blankenship exploded for 23 points Monday to lead No. 4 seed Green Hill to a 52-30 home win over No. 5 seed Station Camp in a District 9AAA quarterfinal contest.

With the win, the Lady Hawks improve to 14-8 overall and advance to the tournament semifinals Tuesday at No. 1 seed Lebanon High.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Campbell Brandon Gymnasium with both teams having earned spots in next week's Region 5AAA tournament.

Green Hill led 15-7 after one period, 20-15 at half and 39-19 going into the fourth quarter.

Sydnee Richetto chipped in with 11 points for the Lady Hawks while Savannah Kirby knocked down three 3-pointers for nine.

Station Camp (10-11) was led by Marisa Wirtz with 12 points.
