Gallatin High School has announced Josh Adkins as the head coach for the Green Wave wrestling program. Coach Adkins joined Gallatin High School in 2019, serving as Special Teams Coordinator for the Green Wave football team.

Coach Adkins is a veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry, serving four years, including a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Adkins began his coaching career in 2014 at Stratford High School, serving as the Defensive and Offensive Line coach, as well as Co-Offensive Coordinator. Additionally, he served as an assistant coach with the Stratford wrestling team during his time at the school. Coach Adkins also has experience coaching defensive line while coaching with National Playmakers Academy in Nashville.

In February 2017, Adkins received the opportunity to fill an Offensive Quality Control internship with the Middle Tennessee State University football program. For the 2017 football season, Adkins coached as an Assistant Defensive Coach and was Director of Football Operations at Florida Institute of Technology. In 2018, Adkins became an Offensive Graduate Assistant at McNeese State University.

Adkins replaces former head coach Dustin Stone. Practice for the 2020-21 season begins Monday, November 2.
