Devilettes 50, Station Camp 32
LEBANON – A trio of Devilettes scored in double figures leading Lebanon High to a 50-32 win over District 9-AAA rival Station Camp Friday in the regular season finale for both teams at Campbell Brandon Gymnasium.
Lebanon guard Addie Porter splashed three 3-pointers on the way to 12 points while post players Meioshe Mason and Madison Jennings finished with 11 each.
Marisa Wirtz connected on three 3-pointers on the way to 15 points and was the only Station Camp player to reach double figures.
LHS led 19-11 at intermission, then stepped on the gas with an 18-9 third quarter run, pushing the margin to 37-23 headed into the final eight minutes.
With the victory, Lebanon moved to 21-4 overall and 15-1 in the district, securing back-to-back regular season titles.
The regular season District 9-AAA champions will play at home throughout the district tournament which opens Wednesday, Feb. 17 with a loser-out game between Wilson Central and Mt. Juliet.
Wednesday’s winner will play at Lebanon High Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. with the winner moving on to the district semifinals Saturday.
No. 5-seeded Station Camp slipped to 7-9 in district play (10-10 overall) and will open the tournament Thursday on the road at No. 4 seed Green Hill in a loser-out contest.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. with the winner moving on to the district semifinals on Saturday.
