Mt. Juliet 67, Gallatin 42

MT. JULIET — Ninth grader Reghan Grimes exploded for 27 points to lead Mt. Juliet’s girls to a 67-42 home win over District 9-AAA rival Gallatin Tuesday.

Grimes finished 13-of-15 from the field and pulled four offensive rebounds as the Lady Bears improved to 6-2 overall, 2-0 in the district.

MJHS led 17-6 after one and 39-14 at intermission.

Emma Palmer added 15 points and Tee Davis 10 for the winners. Ryleigh Osborne added six, Nevaeh Majors four and Alli Gibson three.

As a team, Mt. Juliet connected on 30-of-49 shots from the field (61 percent) and 5-of-16 (31 percent) from beyond the arc.

The Lady Bears return to action Friday, Dec. 14 at Portland for a 6:30 p.n. District 9-AAA encounter.

Lebanon 55, Hendersonville 22

HENDERSONVILLE — Lebanon High’s Devilettes improved to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in District 9-AAA following a 55-22 victory at Hendersonville Tuesday.

Coach Cory Barrett’s team raced to a 25-6 first quarter lead and stretched the margin to 40-13 at intermission.

Three LHS players scored in double figures, led by Aaryn Grace Lester and Allissa Mulaski (two 3-pointers) with 12 each and 11 from Addie Grace Porter.

Anne Heidebreicht finished with eight (two 3-pointers), Avery Harris had six, Christaney Brookshire four and Meioshe Mason two for Lebanon.

LHS knocked down 7-of-9 at the free throw line while Hendersonville hit 7-of-10 at the charity stripe.

Janaya Mayes led HHS (2-6 overall, 0-2) with nine points.

Lebanon is scheduled to host Wilson Central High Friday, Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in a District 9-AAA contest and Hendersonville travels to Station Camp

Friendship 49, Nashville Christian 42

NASHVILLE — Friendship Christian School’s Lady Commanders closed the game on a 13-5 run and came away with a 49-42 road victory over Nashville Christian School Tuesday.

NCS led 16-12 early before FCS tied the game at 26-all at intermission.

Friendship’s Rachel Pippin led all scorers with 28 points. Brooke Jones added 14 points, Autumn Groves four and Bayley West three.

Karmen Drake had 15 points to lead Nashville Christian School.

The Lady Commanders are scheduled to take on District 4-IIA rival Donelson Christian Academy 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 at the Bay Family Sportsplex.

Beech 56, Wilson Central 40

GLADEVILLE — Visiting Beech connected on 11-of-17 fourth quarter free throws in Tuesday’s 56-40 District 9-AAA road win at Wilson Central High.

Beech led 9-2 in the first quarter and 27-20 at intermission.

Lady Buc Mia Dean ripped three 3-pointers and led all scorers with 22 points while teammate Deshiya Hoosier chipped in with 11.

Sydnee Richetto led the Lady Wildcats with 17 points. Nicole Brill finished with eight, Jasmin Angel and Dottie McSpadden each had five. Jaycie Cowan scored three points and Sydney Dalton two in the loss.

Wilson Central slid to 6-2 overall (1-1 in 9-AAA) headed into Friday’s 6:30 p.m. game versus Lebanon at Campbell Brandon Gymnasium.

Upperman 68, Watertown 33

BAXTER — Class AA power Upperman High moved to 7-1 on the season following Tuesday’s 68-33 home win over Watertown High.

The Lady Bees wasted no time, jumping ahead 20-12 after one period and 38-19 at intermission.

Saranda Woodson finished with 19 points to lead the Tigerettes. Ashlea Dickens chipped in with eight points and Emma Christensen added six.

The Tigerettes (4-7 overall & 1-3 in District 8-AA) are idle until Monday, Dec. 17 when Gordonsville comes to town for a 6 p.m. meeting.
